MINISTRIES

Wilshire Presbyterian Church has several ongoing ministries throughout the week:

Health Ministry
In cooperation with QueensCare, Wilshire has a parish nurse who is regularly available for health checkups, screenings, monitoring, consultation, and referrals. The nurse is available at our Community Center on Mondays, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. The health ministry also hosts blood drives, Sunday after-church presentations, and an annual health fair. Food Pantry: Food assistance is available on Mondays, 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at our Community Center.

Pastoral Care: The pastor is available for spiritual care and intercession to church members and community alike, contact the office for an appointment.

Bible Studies: The pastor leads topical Bible study on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Call the office for topics.
  Sundays, 9:15 a.m. - Library
  Wednesdays, 7 p.m. - Library

Wilshire Music Academy: Musical instruction for area schoolchildren in piano, violin, and handbells. Classes meet weekly; tuition charge, scholarships available. Contact office for more information.

Space Rentals: Wilshire Presbyterian is available for wedding, meeting, and special event rentals; special accommodations available for allied neighborhood nonprofits. Contact office for information.

Alcoholics Anonymous: Several groups regularly meet at our Community Center
  Monday, 7:30 p.m. - Courage to Change
  Wednesday, 8 p.m. - L.A. Central AA Group
  Thursday, 7:30 p.m. - AA Group
  Friday, 12 noon - AA Group
  Saturday, 7:30 p.m. - Oxford Candlelight Group
